The Student Services & Classroom Building at Delgado Community College is a mixed-use facility.
The first level contains the dean’s offices and other administrative functions, such as conference, admission, registrar, financial aid, faculty lounge, and bursar with records storage, as well as bookstore with truck-height dock. Three tiered classrooms have built-in ASSOCIATED FIRMVivien & Associates, Mechanical and Electrical EngineersCOST PER SQ FT$120.90FEATURED IN2000 Architectural Portfolio desks and seats with interactive, large-screen TV projection from VCRs and carts containing overhead cameras. These rooms were designed to function separately by closing the folding panel partitions, and together as classrooms or a theatre-in-the-round.
The second level consists of 25 classrooms of varying sizes, faculty offices and meeting facilities, along with the main rest-rooms.
The third level contains HVAC equipment and storage, and is designed to house a future library with a view of the Mississippi River.
