Mountain View Junior High School is user-friendly and allows great flexibility. The school is equipped with state-of-the-art computers, as well as a multimedia network that extends to all areas of the facility while accommodating a variety of networking possibilities.
In order to achieve the maximum attention to the students’ needs, the design of the school was CAPACITY725COST PER SQ FT$124.00FEATURED IN1998 Architectural Portfolio into three cluster groupings. Each group was assigned an interdisciplinary team that was charged with the responsibility of the students’ welfare and learning.
The school is zoned in such a way that the public can directly access and use portions of the building, such as the gymnasium, commons and other community spaces without introducing into the rest of the school during non-school hours.
The auxiliary gym, commons and band room are divided by operable walls that can be opened, thus becoming one room for full assembly use.
