This facility represents five towns committed together to leadership in education. Many integrated activities areas form a true, central communities center. Voters supported the close relationships of education delivery, favorably balanced with economic prudence and efficiency of operational savings.

The direction of the integrated educator/community/technical team used a specialized, independent educational facilities consultant, thus greatly increasing district control of flexibility, quality and cost-value ratios. The approach used comprehensive project cost-management systems and a blended financing approach developed by the architect.
Flexibility dominated planning for delivery in a variety of settings, fully integrating technologies/systems for delivery beyond state-of-the-art. The result is an efficient envelope, serving present and future decades of needs.
Ground-source heating and cooling lend further efficiencies to the high-performance characteristics of the building envelope throughout the year, with computerized controls and maintenance monitoring.
The innovative classroom design includes integrated, private space for individual and small-group instruction. This concept is one of many included to accommodate variations in class sizes, programs and educational delivery in the future.
