Unique program features include individual study carrels, affording the student ready access to research materials, and computerized Internet-connected study areas on the perimeter. Study areas for small-group research are close to the circulation desk for optimal supervision.
A teacher conference/resource room is provided for special-needs students. Natural light is incorporated in the design with a central skylight and perimeter clerestory windows. Solar reflective insulating glass was specified to reduce solar heat gain and glare. A sophisticated, self-dimming light-control system minimizes energy usage during the daytime.
