The new Holly High School media center is an integral part of each student’s academic life. This second-floor space is at the apex of the four surrounding academic clusters for functionality and symbolism. Easy access is achieved through two separate entries from the academic hallway, allowing free movement and minimal disruption and noise to classroom areas. The vaulted ceiling and large window provide an inviting, relaxing atmosphere for learning and space for quiet, sunlit reading.

On the exterior, the impressive window defines the main entry. Open computer labs provide private learning or group instruction. Workstations allow students to create and produce multimedia reports/papers/presentations. Through close collaboration with the media center specialist and users, the Holly High School media center achieves the vision for the project and fulfills the program requirement of an integral component in this “lifelong learning center.”
