The project called for a school organized by subject in a flexible design that incorporated the surrounding environment. The district and the architect agreed that a circular campus format was the best choice.

Taking a counterclockwise tour of the individual buildings, the main entrance serves as the Administration and Media Center Building. The most distinctive design element of Skyline High School lies in the 650-seat auditorium in the Fine Arts Building. It is flanked by two 250-seat tiered lecture rooms, and a series of motorized wall panels easily retract to convert the lecture rooms into expanded seating for the auditorium.

The school’s circular pattern creates a spacious courtyard that encompasses an outdoor amphitheater, as well as a freestanding 250-seat indoor lecture hall.
