The Comcast Media & Technology Center is a visionary collaboration between Comcast and the University of Colorado Denver’s College of Arts & Media (CAM) and College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS). Maximum flexibility was paramount in the design; it has multiple points of entry, and offers a variety of choices in places to work, ways to work, and how projects can be set up. Movable furnishings, multiple writable surfaces, and access to power and data have been incorporated throughout the space for increased flexibility.
The required program needed more space than the existing floor plate. To achieve the additional needed square footage, a mezzanine level and catwalk were designed into the overall space, maintaining the two stories of vertical height.
