The juxtaposition of the two styles complements the existing campus buildings and introduces modern architecture and a new direction for Cushing Academy.
The Field House features one NCAA-regulation basketball court, two high school regulation courts, a fitness center, a weight room, a training room, and locker rooms. The glass-enclosed fitness center and group exercise spaces offer views of the campus and the gymnasium below. The use of daylighting creates a transparent and energetic atmosphere.
The entire facility is wired to stream games and lectures so that parents and spectators of the global student population can view onsite events live. The gymnasium and program spaces are for more than just athletics; they also are used for distance learning.
