The central element of the project is the Kiva, a round room with sliding doors and surrounded by a continuous gallery space. The Kiva can function in many ways: as a central lounge and gathering spot, as a multipurpose classroom supporting multiple groups at once, or as a focused presentation/collaboration space seating more than 35 and offering comprehensive technology support.
The rolling wood and metal doors provide the ability to instantly transform the feel and function of the space. The perimeter gallery may serve as an expansion space or simply as a place in which the school displays the fruits of collaboration.
