This school is a modification of a successful prototype design. This version was selected based on its ability to adapt to the county’s educational program, its efficiency, durability, ease of maintenance and its aesthetics. The exterior of the 347,500-square-foot school has aesthetic appeal, utilizing concrete-tile mansard roofing, and a combination of split-face block and stucco walls. Classroom wings are arranged to accommodate 2,500 students in grades 9-12. The school will include: an 1,880-seat gymnasium, concession area and restrooms; outdoor track, baseball, softball and football fields; auditorium; dining hall and media center.
A state-of-the-art telecommunications system supports administration and the learning environment through: satellite communications; building-management-system controls; both LAN and WAN computer networks.
