Broward College, Health Sciences Simulation Center
Broward College’s Health Sciences Simulation Center is a three-story, 61,000-square-foot facility with offices, classrooms, lecture spaces and 10 simulation labs designed for students and professionals to replicate emergency and critical care medical situations.

Each unit includes patient simulators, bedside computers, video recording/monitoring/playback and hospital equipment. Control rooms provide visibility into the suite for instructors.
The winged façade is symbolic of a nun’s nursing cap, an emblem of pride for students serving in the nursing profession.
Broward College is pursuing LEED Silver certification with a focus on environmental quality and operational efficiencies in the areas of HVAC, lighting and lighting control, and domestic hot-water generation systems as well as passive conservation such as energy-efficient glazing, building materials and systems selection, and daylight harvesting.
