Bucks County Community College, Rollins Advising and Transfer Center

SCHRADERGROUP architecture provided design services for renovating and converting about 4,300 square feet of undefined space in Rollins Hall into an Advising and Transfer Suite. The space primarily is dedicated to student counseling and includes a suite of small, flexible office spaces for advising functions. Additionally, moveable furniture fosters side-by-side collaboration between student and counselor. Other spaces include director and assistant director offices, a conference room, and a larger computer room or training center for about 20 students. This space integrates an existing fireside lounge, small tables and comfortable seating that provide multi-function breakout spaces. The design helps promote a sense of identity for the college and is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression for visiting potential students. Mechanical, electrical, technology and security systems were upgraded as part of the project.
