The project upgraded the general and biology labs and added dedicated labs in anatomy and physiology, chemistry and microbiology. The number of stations per lab increased to 24. In addition to the labs, the program included prep rooms, a balance room and instrument lab as well as a conference room and faculty offices. Student workrooms were developed to allow students to work on experiments and projects independently, which eliminated scheduling conflicts and encouraged scientific exploration outside of the classroom.
The design uses finishes such as glass walls, bright colors, and dramatic imagery and signage to identify spaces. A comfortable seating area provides a space for students and faculty to gather and continue discussions outside the labs.
