Several renovation projects also improved the functionality of the existing space. One such space was the 5,420- square-foot auto mechanics lab. The renovation converted this space to a state-of-the-art Student Activity Center. The project added ADA accessibility, fire sprinklers and brought the existing space up to state energy standards.
The Student Activity Center is equipped with wireless technology, flatscreen TVs, pool tables, game tables and space for a future coffee shop. The space also will be used for student movie night, student council meetings, special events and student-orientation activities.
