The addition and renovation at Rolla Junior High School not only transformed the campus into an ADA-accessible facility, but also provided a more identifiable main entrance. The addition connected a once bi-leveled entry into an inviting, balanced and spacious new lobby/vestibule, which provided a smooth horizontal circulation to the new cafeteria, the new full-service COST PER SQ FT$169.90FEATURED IN2013 Architectural PortfolioSUB CATEGORYRenovation and the administration suite. The addition also included a classroom wing and a secondary staff entrance.
A new driveway and dropoff area were designed for a more efficient and safe vehicular circulation. The new entrance included bus dropoffs and parking. A new loop road connected the existing parking lots on the south and east side of the school to the new driveway.
In addition to the new construction, about 8,877 square feet of the existing building was renovated to provide new classrooms and support spaces.
