The Center for Energy Education and Training (CEET) facility provides learning space for the new Energy Management Academic program. The LEED platinum facility is dedicated to the instruction of renewable-energy technologies, energy conservation and green building practices.

The building is situated at a prominent intersection of the campus, and it became ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONASSOCIATED FIRMLandmark JCM, ReVisionCOST PER SQ FT$315.00FEATURED IN2013 Architectural Portfolio early on to the charrette team that beautifying this intersection should be a high priority. An additional goal was to showcase the sustainable technologies that are the focus of the building’s curriculum. Sustainable features such as wind turbines, photovoltaic panels and a native plantings “living wall” were organized in a manner that simultaneously screens an existing service access area while giving CEET its own identity. The result is a welcoming campus entry that is enhanced by a richly detailed building, expressing the college’s commitment to technology and sustainability.

The project consists of two state-of-the-art classrooms, three interactive labs, a distance-learning lecture room and a multipurpose space. The center will provide students with a hands-on learning environment, which demonstrates the latest in sustainable energy technology.
