An all-glass entryway welcomes visitors and provides an immediate, tantalizing glimpse of the cutting-edge technologies that lie within.
The interior features a bright color palette, and uses glass and metal to define and accentuate simulation and visualization laboratories; an immersive theater for advanced research projects and 3-D virtual classroom instruction; faculty offices; and conference rooms.
Inside the tiered classroom, users immerse themselves in a 3-D virtual-reality environment created with the use of advanced projection technologies. Previous CIVS projects have addressed challenges from such disciplines as biomedical, construction, engineering, education/training, economic development, energy, environment, health care, marketing, manufacturing, service and transportation.
