Three Stages, a visual and performing-arts center, provides state-of-the-art teaching space for the students and faculty of Folsom Lake College and a venue for regional dance troops, musical ensembles, and theater and performing-arts companies. The main 850-seat proscenium theater accommodates campus and local performances and national traveling "road" productions. Complementing the main theater is a 200-seat studio theater, an intimate 100-seat recital hall, scene and costume shops, dressing rooms, green room, drama lab, choral room, recording studio, classrooms, art gallery and faculty offices.
Sited on a prominent hill, the two-story lobby shines as a beacon, offering patrons expansive views as they arrive and leave performances. Gathering areas inside and outside provide for student and instructor interaction and impromptu rehearsals.
By engaging the support of local municipalities, Three Stages will train and inspire the region’s next generation of performing-arts professionals and provide the neighboring communities with a critically acclaimed entertainment and artistic venue.
