The University Center at High Point University (HPU) is a 270,000-square-foot mixed-use project that provides a variety of student services to the 4,000 students on campus.
The University Center features multiple student dining options including the Great Day Cafe, which offers fresh salad and sandwich grill menu items; CAPACITY600COST PER SQ FT$98.15FEATURED IN2011 Architectural Portfolio two-story gaming venue and restaurant, the Pint, which offers students multiple environments for fellowship; and the 1924 Prime Chop House, a full-service, upscale restaurant. A 250-seat state-of-the-art cinema is on the lower level.
The University Center houses 600 upper-class students in 300 residence hall rooms, with such amenities as community kitchens, laundry facilities, a convenience store, fitness center and student copy/work centers.
The University Center is on about 4 acres and includes a community courtyard with a putting green, as well as pedestrian pathways connecting students to central campus. The design complements HPU’s Georgian architectural style and enhances the 150-acre campus context.
