Inside, a transparent wall unites the shared space of the media center/commons, and the area is celebrated as the beacon of the building—a place to gather. The idea of "The Beacon of Light" was expressed structurally with a clerestory, which invites natural light, and functionally with the media center serving as a gathering place for students, media, knowledge and technology.
