Construction of a new student center in the heart of this campus encompassed more than entertainment and recreational facilities for students. It also will provide them with a single location on campus where they can conduct business associated with their academic stay.

The building will be constructed to connect to an existing geothermal heating and cooling system. A cutting-edge aquifer thermal energy system (ATES) will provide aquifer storage of cooling water for air-conditioning use. The building skin will be composed mostly of cast stone, curtainwall glass and punched windows, which are high-performance glass to enhance the energy efficiency of the building.
