The four student entrances are grouped together to share a "front door," and at the end of each hall, glass-enclosed study spaces enable sunlight to reach the hallways while maintaining quiet areas for study. Even the basement, where laundry and common spaces are situated, was enlivened by a new entrance providing natural light and access to a normally utilitarian space. Communal bathrooms are compartmentalized so each fixture is in its own room, offering more privacy than the typical institutional stalls.
Main common rooms are updated with the latest technology for wireless computer access, television, lighting and finishes. Each of the student rooms has cable television, data ports and abundant wall outlets to accommodate the students’ ever-growing need for power.
