Lutgert Hall is the sophisticated home of the university’s College of Business and is the signature building at the entrance of the Southwest Florida campus. The design concept was centered on the influences of global business transparency. As international business trends shift to more fluid and transparent methods of operation, the educational model of COST PER SQ FT$279.06FEATURED IN2009 Architectural Portfolio Hall embraces the business future. The building design focuses on the concept of transparency, as well as blurring the boundaries between spaces.
Visitors are attracted to the main atrium that is filled with natural light and enables them to see through the building into the student courtyard. The circulation path and social spaces are situated along the inner perimeter of the building looking out toward the courtyard. The design provides students with the opportunity to interact both inside the building and outside in the courtyard. These transparent spaces embrace one another and celebrate student, faculty and community activity.
The academic spaces include case- study classrooms, specialty stock trading rooms, marketing portfolio spaces, and student collaborative zones.
