Princeton Elementary School is situated on an L-shaped site of 10.25 acres with a 435-foot frontage.
The design of the new school consists of three major components. The central portion of the campus contains the core facilities shared by the entire school. These areas include the administration suite, cafeteria, media center and gymnasium. As a result of site COST PER SQ FT$137.75FEATURED IN2008 Architectural Portfolio and budget constraints, the design team determined the optimum use of the site would allow the core facilities to be a single story in height with two, two-story classroom wings positioned on either end of the core.
A central two-story corridor connects the classroom wings to the core facilities. An upper-level mezzanine provides access to the classrooms on level 200, and stairs from level 200 to the main level are situated within this central axis. The exterior is brick and synthetic stucco.
