The minimalist design was inspired by the drive-in theaters of the golden age of cinema. Simple white surfaces become canvases for student ideas, activating and charging the environment with multimedia images. Creativity and inspiration is enhanced further by the vibrant palette of selected works of CEO, Howard Hullman’s award-winning contemporary art collection.

Flashpoint was designed to receive LEED silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Green strategies were incorporated to reduce the energy profile, reduce water usage, and create a more healthful environment for students and faculty. Energy-reduction strategies include daylight harvesting, efficient LED light fixtures and Energy Star appliances, along with advanced lighting and HVAC controls. Water usage is reduced primarily through two-button toilets. Indoor air quality is improved by low-VOC sealants, carpeting, paint and millwork.
