The University of Houston Science Engineering & Research Center’s landscape project embraced the contemporary spirit of the building that was designed by Cesar Pelli and Associates. This project was developed to provide much-needed laboratory research and classroom space for the science and engineering curriculums. The project also offered opportunities to departments such as science in a common area of campus.

The area featured landscape was designed by the University of Houston Office of Facilities Planning and Construction. This area benefits the campus by providing serene study space outdoors with Texas Hardy plantings that attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.
