The common areas are woven into the circulation paths to link the program spaces and to create spatial definition. These areas include the 500-seat auditorium, the 27,000-square-foot food court, coffeehouse, prefunction areas, gallery exhibit areas for students and faculty work, and student study lounges in areas throughout the building.
The coffeehouse, which has a stage for student performances, is adjacent to the auditorium and provides two-story views to downtown.
