The media center of this new facility was developed as the center of learning activity within the building. Located at the main entrance of the building, entry/exit locations are provided into the media center to facilitate the flow of student circulation. Light from the main entry commons is directed into the media center to create a bright, open environment.

The development of the loft provides an opportunity for multiple class usage. The use of wood casework, furnishings and trim creates a warm, inviting space.
The integration of technology provides the media center as the “hub” of information distribution for all types of media. The video-retrieval system is located in the media center and distributes technology throughout the facility. Indirect lighting is provided to create soft, shadowless reading and glare-free lighting for computer use.
This new 5-6 grade facility was designed for a fast-growing district located in a northern suburb of Indianapolis.
