Creating a new home for the women of Delta Delta Delta at the University of South Carolina was a challenging project with respect to the building’s financial performance. The goal for the interior design of the project was to create an image of sophistication without sacrificing functionality and durability. The furniture needed to be elegant yet comfortable and serve a variety of functions. Interior finishes were chosen to reflect the personality of the chapter and its members.
The new building includes 36 live-in residents and dining facilities suitable for up to 80 diners per meal. Conscientious planning with respect to amenities vs. necessities resulted in a compact and efficient plan that accommodates all of the programmatic goals.
