The Danforth Center renovation at Brooks School brings new life into the athletic facility with a new squash court center, lobby area and rowing center.
This small, New England independent school is steeped in history and tradition. The new rowing center is a unique addition to its strong crew program, which has been with the school since its opening in 1926. These tanks were custom-built for the crew teams’ specific needs and were finished with the school’s colors.
The newly renovated squash court facility completes this state-of-the-art facility, providing 10 international squash courts to support a very active and successful squash program. Coaching is greatly enhanced by the new facility, providing one court with video capability to assist in the coaching process.
The school also was cognizant of the need for accessibility in the building and worked features into the design to allow disabled spectators to watch the action with greater ease.
