The College of Nursing incorporates a nontraditional approach to teaching nursing, using Feng Shui principles to focus on caring and nurturing that balance the wholeness of the individual. The building’s architecture and products capitalized on natural light and satisfied several LEED requirements.
The overall building design incorporates four COST PER SQ FT$166.93FEATURED IN2006 Architectural Portfolio principals:
-Paradigm shift—shifts the paradigm from clinical to caring through the creation of healing spaces.
-Feng Shui—ensures the connectedness of the building to its environment, creating harmony and balance and using energy in the most positive way.
-Earth-conscious—creates an environment that is healthy and supportive to those who grace this space.
-Holistic design solution—approaches the building design from an experiential point of view.
