The courtyard, by contrast to the more sedate exterior, is enlivened by undulating walkways and vibrant colors, evocative of a sunset that accentuates various architectural elements. The building features a contemporary interpretation of design elements such as tile roofs, deep overhanging eaves, stucco walls and trellises, all of which are reminiscent of the area’s historic architectural past.
In addition to the predominantly two-bedroom residential units,
administrative offices, a meeting room, lounge and a laundry facility are included.
The project, which was on a fast-track schedule, was completed from design inception to occupancy in 18 months.
