The facility boasts a large overhang and shading devices to block heat gain off the south and west exposures.
Materials, including metal panels, plastic laminate and ceramic tile wall panels, were selected to minimize maintenance. During the design phases, computer-generated simulations of a mock neighborhood and exterior views helped verify sightlines, as well as confirm architectural character.
