This new elementary school consists of grades K to 5 and includes special-education programs. The facility is designed to accommodate 900 students and is 89,936 square feet.

It was designed as a new prototype elementary school for Prince William County. It opened its doors to students in fall 2005.

The facility was constructed on a sloping site in the Victory ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONCAPACITY900COST PER SQ FT$128.62FEATURED IN2006 Architectural Portfolio development of the county. The architect incorporated a split-level design (two-story academic house with core and public spaces on a mid-level) that would accommodate the sloping site conditions and would allow the design to be constructed easily on similar sloping sites in Prince William County. This design also has served as a prototype for a second elementary school for a site with similar topography in the county and is being adapted for a third time for the county.

The administration and common areas of the building are connected to the classroom building by a ramped corridor that allows elementary school students to circulate to different levels of the building without using stairs.

Victory Elementary School is constructed with load-bearing masonry and brick, and decorative brick block veneer; a steel-framed roof; metal roof panels; and aluminum windows. The facility’s mechanical system is a fan-coil unit system with exterior air-cooled chillers.
