The building was constructed into a hillside, admitting daylight to the eastern portion only. The placement of the treatment labs into the hillside permits controlled lighting and privacy for clients.
The exterior was designed to be contextual with the existing campus through the use of similar materials. The use of a curved exterior wall, large glazing areas, aluminum composite panels and sun louvers allows the facility to suggest a different use within, creating its own identity and a stimulating space.
The main entry into the dental health building was modified with aluminum composite panels and a curve to create a visual connection between the two buildings.
