The ongoing renovation and construction at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management is based on a master plan to accommodate growth and evolving teaching methods in a highly competitive field.
All teaching spaces have been upgraded with the latest technology capabilities during summers. To date, the university has renovated 13 seminar and lecture spaces, creating COST PER SQ FT$300.00FEATURED IN2006 Educational InteriorsINTERIOR CATEGORYInterior Renovation rooms from underutilized back-of-the-house space and reconfiguring seating layouts with new desks and fixed seating. The designs improved sightlines, lighting, technology, audiovisual controls, acoustics and overall quality of finishes.
Other improvements include a new cafe space, renovation of the first floor and lower-level main entry galleries, a student lounge expansion and renovation of the recruiters’ suite.
The school is taking a unique approach to this phased program through an ongoing, interactive process driven by feedback from students and faculty. By incorporating user comments and suggestions from one phase to the next, the designs are particularly responsive to program and pedagogical requirements.
