New classrooms feature ample natural light from large windows and are designated for one art form, such as photography or sculpting. Anticipating the need to display student masterpieces, the theater lobby incorporates several art galleries.

The project also included converting the existing theater into a walk-in bookstore, offices and classrooms.

The project had a guaranteed maximum price of $14.2 million. Through fundraising, St. Xavier was able to add $3.3 million to the original project scope. The total $17.5 million of construction, a 20 percent increase in the original scope, was completed faster than the original 18-month schedule.
