The new Crown Point High School’s image honors the rich history and pride of the old downtown high school, which sat in the middle of town with the Lake County Courthouse and its clock tower as a backdrop.

The commons houses many school and community functions including large gatherings, dances, exhibits and performances.

The commons reflects the ambience of the old school setting with the use of warm brick tones and patterns, wood accents, copper-like roofs, coffered ceilings highlighted with historical fixtures, storefront display areas, stone-type floors (terrazzo) and large windows that fill the space with natural light.

The large multipurpose commons is a welcoming space that the community is invited to use and enjoy.
