The new suite-style residence hall will be in the center of student life at the State University of New York College at Cortland. Adjacent to the main dining hall and the student union, this 197-bed facility will connect two existing residence halls to further define an existing residential quad. This four-story, brick veneered building with glazed curtainwall will offer students a variety of suite options. The first floor will contain entrance lounges, suites, mechanical services, storage and a multipurpose room with serving kitchen. This space will accommodate floor meetings and other events. The facility also will have a laundry room with adjacent lounge, a residence director’s apartment and support spaces.
The second, third and fourth floors will house suites that accommodate four students in two bedrooms, supported by a variety of private restroom and shower options. Each floor will have a number of private group-study rooms, and a multipurpose room with a view to the west and the nearby rolling landscape of central New York.
