Computer learning, adaptability and fun were major considerations in designing the Early Learning Center addition. The addition includes nine classrooms with a separate entry and security vestibule that is locked during class hours for the students’ protection; a gifted students’ classroom; a cafeteria/activities room and a reading area. Each classroom has its own sink, ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONCOST PER SQ FT$223.00FEATURED IN1998 Educational InteriorsINTERIOR CATEGORYClassrooms and tackable surfaces for artwork display.

The computer learning area was designed with flexibility, adaptability and durability. Administration and staff can change or add to the networked computers in the future with ease. Open spaces in the kindergarten and preschool classrooms accommodate activities for large- and small-motor activities. Each classroom offers a soft area for reading and ample space for computer learning.

The colors, furniture and lighting were designed to stimulate a child’s natural curiosity. A design of primary colors with a crayon theme promotes participation and enjoyment while assisting young children to find their classrooms. Large windows at student level bring in natural light and provide a view of nature.
