Each Ninth Grade Center will increase the capacity at its high school to 3,000 by adding classroom facilities for 600 students. All core facilities have been designed to accommodate 1,000 students. Site amenities include visitor parking and a dropoff area, and additional staff and student parking.
Each auditorium has seating for 900 and a stage with a full-fly loft. The first three rows of seats are removable to accommodate an orchestra. Amenities include a box office, public restrooms, a sound/lighting control room, costume storage, instrument storage, two projection screens, a set construction and set storage shop, boys’ and girls’ dressing rooms, and piano storage. To facilitate access for the disabled, the audience has direct access to the stage, without ramps or steps.
