The mission of the Department of Campus and Recreation is to provide student, faculty, staff and other members of the Valdosta State University community with the opportunity to enjoy lifelong activities while enhancing their well-being.

The Student Recreation Center is on a two-acre site west of the main campus.

In keeping with the Spanish Mission style prevalent to the campus, the architects designed the Student Recreation Center to maintain continuity with the campus.

The facility includes a lounge, indoor pool, free-weights room, aerobics area, natatorium, climbing wall, sundeck, multipurpose forum area, running track, racquetball courts, locker rooms and showers, and administrative areas.
