The new high school links to an existing high school, which was formerly the freshman campus. Anticipating planned expansion, providing effective access for community use and creating a dynamic environment infused by natural light drove the plan. Creativity and community participation distinguished this project:
-The city and school district, business community, park district and government collaborated to pass a sales-tax increase to help pay for construction.
-A variety of public and not-for-profit service providers participated in programming to ensure that the school could accommodate some or all of their activities, thereby providing value to all constituencies throughout the community.
