It took several years of planning and the contribution of many individuals to complete the Edgewood Primary and Edgewood Intermediate Schools. The original elementary school, which was housed in a multi-story, aging facility, gave way to two new facilities situated in a rural setting adjacent to the junior and senior high-school buildings.

Edgewood Primary School houses grades K to 2, and Edgewood Intermediate School houses grades 3 to 5. Each school is designed to accommodate 600 students and maximize learning opportunities for students now and in the future.

The identical 107,000-square-foot schools share a common campus that is linked to the high school and community athletic fields, which were constructed at the same time as the elementary schools. Playful giant crayon columns line the interior children’s mall, and daylight bathes the classrooms and the media center in each school from interior courtyards. Each school has its own media center, computer lab, science room, cafeteria, performing stage and gymnasium.
