An extensive, long-range plan developed by the school board, faculty and staff formed the basis of a design that emphasized the creation of inviting and exciting common spaces that would make the students and community proud.

The peak at the main facade clearly defines the entry for the public. This peaked form carries throughout the facility to connect the major common spaces (gathering lobby, learning resource center, courtyard and cafeteria) shared by the students and the community.

This common spine divides the facility into an early-childhood/elementary wing and an intermediate/junior-high wing.
