Wynford Elementary School

Wynford Elementary School united students from three older rural school buildings at a central site on the existing high school campus. This two-story building is color-coded by grade level and situated on a site that includes a small outdoor science laboratory along with the existing 7-12 school. Within the two-story academic wings are four classrooms each for grades K-6, two preschool rooms, five special-education rooms and staff work rooms. The single-story area contains two music studios, art department, media center with kiln, computer lab, kitchen, multipurpose room, and gymnasium with platform and four locker rooms.

This new facility was constructed at a modest cost and features quality materials such as terrazzo floors. It is wired for technology. A unique feature incorporated at the front entrance and in the gymnasium corridor is a special recognition of the former schools.
