The 6,000-square-foot Dental Hygiene Lab includes a reception area, 10 dental operatories, five X-ray operatories, a classroom and supplemental spaces.
Under-floor systems for gas, water and vacuum extend to each operatory, featuring dental chairs and hands-free fixtures. Sheet vinyl flooring and vinyl-coated gypsum wallboard provide hygienic surfaces.
Variable-air-volume boxes deliver conditioned air from the existing HVAC system. Indoor air is isolated and exhausted directly to the exterior. A dedicated rooftop unit controlled through a building-management system provides fresh air.
Parabolic diffusers provide glare-free fluorescent lighting. Surge-free power, interfaced with the college’s fiber-optic network, provides Internet access.
