In a setting that celebrates the natural world, children learn and play, surrounded by the rich earth tones of autumn leaves, tree bark and moss. Outside the classrooms, images of leaves highlight the variety often found in nature; ornamental lizards are discovered along the exhibit wall; and a custom filigree “leaf” ceiling stimulates the sunlight that filters through a canopy of trees deep within the forest. In contrast to the loud, harsh environments of our age, this learning center offers a quiet environment designed for learning and discovery.
