Folsom Lake College Phase 1A is the centerpiece of a 15,000-student, 151-acre campus. The campus grows out of the natural topography along the crown of a hill, creating an image for the college that accentuates the importance of education in the community. Folsom Lake College is the first new community college constructed in California in 25 years. Folsom Lake College is designed with technology at the focus of many innovative elements on campus. Along with instructional classrooms and labs, a student-services center for admissions, and a large lecture hall, the 50,000-square-foot campus center includes a learning resource center with 150 computers to provide access to the latest technology.

The campus also is designed in such a way to allow students to access the Internet from any room and even areas outside the building.
