The three-story middle school building was situated to create a new academic quadrangle bounded by the Banfield Academic Center, Andrew House and Torey Hall. The new middle school building contains classrooms, a library, art rooms, science rooms and administrative support spaces. The exterior materials, detailing and colors of the new middle school were selected to complement the architecture of the existing campus buildings.
A special feature is the new shared exhibition gallery that connects the middle school to the Banfield Academic Center. This large space also can be used for student assemblies.
A unified academic quadrangle, which reinforces a sense of community identity, was created at the heart of the school’s campus.
